A Shinning Example of the Sacrament of Penance

“Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.” Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!”(Which means Teacher).’

So, this Easter hymn 446 from the Sing With Joy To The Lord hymn book, titled, “The Angel Rolled the Stone Away” is an adaptation from the Holy Bible verse of today’s teaching.

Mary Magdalene was the prostitute whom Christ Jesus delivered her of demon possession and seven demons were cast out from her.

The take on today’s teaching is not to cast light on that part of her life, rather, it is intended to celebrate a shinning example of whom Christ once saved.

To those of us that have the privilege of going for the sacrament of penance. Each time we have such experience, it is one and the same with what Saint Mary Magdalene had at her encounter with Christ.

Cherishing her new found life, Mary Magdalene dedicated the rest of her life in full Adoration of the experience she had from that encounter with Jesus Christ.

There is even a Gospel according Saint Mary Magdala.

Dear friend, for those of us fortunate enough to have the privileges of the sacrament of confession, we must have Mary Magdalene as our shinning example and never take such privileges for granted.

Have a fantastic rainy day and a fulfilled week ahead folks.
