STRAIGHTEN OUR PATHS

THIS SEASON OF VIOLET COLOUR 03.

“The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from men?” And they argued with one another, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ But if we say, ‘From men,’ we are afraid of the multitude; for all hold that John was a prophet.” So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.”

So, this rhetoric, “What will people say” has wrecked a lot of persons.

Dear friend, the said people already know what they want to know and they are already saying what they want to say.

Therefore, when we give heed to the thought of what people would supposedly say, we are just giving fodder to that dragon that has seemingly slayed others who gave a damn to grow and slay us also.

More often than not, some people already have an opinion and no amount of explanation can change the narrative they want to pursue.

These people are comfortable with that narrative, so, the more we tend to mind to give further explanation, the more fuel we may be pouring to our self-ignited fires.

Those kind of people accosted Christ in today’s teaching , but knowing their intent, he, too, tackled them using a superior version of their tactics.

So long as we are convinced that we are on the path of good and truth, that little rhetoric, “What will people say” like it was with Christ, we, too, it can not get at us.

As we await the coming of the Infant King during this Season of Violet Colour, we must make straight our paths, smoothen the rough grounds and make level our high places so that worries or even doubts about what people will say or think would be the least of our concerns, if any at all.

Have a fantastic day and a fulfilled week ahead folks.
