So, blind trust in God and total submission to His will is the ultimate.
When one gets a piece of land. Tills that land, cultivates and plants on it. Ensuring that it is properly weeded and the appropriate fertilizer is applied to the soil.
One mustn’t yet go trusting in all these efforts they put in alone, hoping in them that they may have a good yield.
Truly, by all human standards and scientifically, one is supposed to have good yields from such efforts.
Nevertheless, when we put our trust only in our efforts, we may be disappointed. Our farm may have full, fresh and green leaves, but may have little or no yields.
Meanwhile, one who puts in less than half of our efforts may experience a bumper harvest. The difference could be that, the other person did their bit and trusted the remainder into the glorious hand of God. It is God that gives and brings about increase.
The blind man in today’s teaching knew about trusting God completely blindly and he utilised it to his good.
Do we by chance think that Christ didn’t know what the man wants? Of course, he knew, however, he made the blind man to come to him.
Then, Christ asked him what he wants and without any equivocations, he was brief, clear and straightforward as possible in stating his need.
Christ would have just even waved his hand and the man could have received his sight. Nevertheless, he made him come to him and had an interaction with him.
Christ necessitated the interaction with the blind man just to further his teaching and teach us something vital.
First, we must persist as the blind man did. Then we should be clear, brief and straightforward with our request as did the blind man. And lastly, and most important, we must believe and have faith.
Recall that Christ said that it was the blind man’s faith that made him well.
Dear friend, notwithstanding our hard work, the most important thing afterwards, is to trust everything to God , believing and having faith in Him.
May God avail us the grace to permit His will to be realised in our life.
Have a fantastic day and a fulfilled week folks.
